Welcome to our website, providing information on the performing arts classes and further opportunities that we offer our students; through training, examinations, performances, youth-led projects or working professionally. Established in 1973, serving Enfield, Barnet, Finchley, Southgate and surrounding boroughs, we are a family business run on our experience, knowledge of the industry and a commitment to the enjoyment, progression, personal and social development of each and every one of our students. We offer Ballet, Tap, Modern, Street, Acting, Singing, Musical Theatre or performing arts courses: after school, at weekends, and throughout the holidays.
We offer FREE TRIAL CLASSES in performing arts throughout the term in purpose built studios with fully qualified, professional tutors. Students can be involved as little or as much as they like, with opportunities to participate in Bodens Youth Theatre productions, represent the studios as an Ambassador, join the team for our termly magazine, or become a member of our council for Youth-Led Schemes throughout the year.
Open seven days a week, we provide performing arts classes; acting, singing and dancing. Students have the opportunity to participate in individual classes, specialising in a field of performing arts, such as street dance, tap, modern, ballet, acting performance, modern or classic song, while others take part in weekend performing arts courses offering experience and training in every field of performance. Some classes are recreational, some for examinations, but all aim to contribute to the overall development of the young people attending Bodens Performing Arts School. Many of our students live in Enfield, Barnet, Finchley and Southgate, with others from surrounding areas, as far afield as Birmingham.
Our fully qualified and professional tutors are experienced working with children and young adults, teach performing arts because they ultimately want to be teachers, and have undergone a full CRB disclosure.
We offer a ONE WEEK FREE TRIAL in all our recreational performing arts classes and a TWO WEEK FREE TRIAL in all our examination classes.
We hold our drama, dance and singing classes in purpose built dance and drama studios at our main centre in Barnet, just five minutes from Cat Hill roundabout, and in our Enfield Town Centre, held in Enfield Chace Community School. Our dance studios have sprung floors, mirrored walls and sound systems. Equipped with CCTV, the studios are in complete compliance with current Health and Safety and Fire Regulations.
We also have our own eighty seater 'Scaffold Theatre' an adaptable and intimate setting in which we stage a whole host of productions. With forty years of experience we have an incredible amount of resources to support the professional standards of our studios and teaching staff.
