About Us

Princesses Theatre Course Bodens Performing Arts

'In addition to our high standards of training within our performing arts classes, we provide our students with a safe space to grow in confidence, discovering the world around them and the road ahead, helping them shape their identity. We provide opportunities for manageable risk to enable them to consistently achieve, aiding them in their development as performers and throughout their transition into adulthood. Young people need a place away from school and home where they can learn to perform as themselves. We are proud to be that place for so many."

Performing Arts Studios Bodens Performing Arts

We hold the majority of our classes in purpose built dance and drama studios at our main centre in Barnet. We have seven studios, most with sprung floors, mirrored walls and sound proofing. We have a large range of resources available to our young people, from thousands of plays in our library, to apple mac laptops, sound and lighting equipment, and cameras for photography and filming. This creative hub also has a studio theatre designed for varying styles of productions. In Enfield we use Chace Community School, for the same reason, they have purpose built studios that ensure our students receive exactly the same high standard of training.
Summer Theatre Course Bodens Performing Arts

Throughout the year students take part in performances, some through the classes they attend, and others as optional opportunities to further their learning and experiences. We take on all manner of plays from Greek Theatre and Shakespearean to new writing and Contemporary classics. We devise our own pieces, and often performances can be in the form of immersive, educational or participatory theatre. There are also opportunities to be a company member of large scale musicals. We perform in house at our resident Scaffold Theatre, at the Arts Depot in Finchley and Wyllyotts Theatre in Potters Bar, and further afield in venues such as Hackney Empire and The Soho Theatre in London.

The best way to begin at Bodens is to give us a call so we can talk through what classes will be right for a student, depending on their interests, age, experience and ability. It's helps us to start by knowing what a student wants to get out of their time with us. New students try a FREE TRIAL CLASS and then pay weekly for the next three weeks to give them time to find out if the class is the right one. Following this trial period, classes are paid on a termly basis. We offer discounts for siblings and as part of our RECOMMEND A FRIEND scheme. As we are an Oftsed registered school, we are also able to accept childcare vouchers to pay for our classes and holiday courses.
