where highly qualified teachers train children and young people in professional studios
Though our largest studios are now situated in Islington, North London, Bodens performing arts was established in 1973 and has provided different levels of training in the performing arts, in Barnet, Enfield and the surrounding area for over 10,000 young people. Many have continued their education at RADA, LAMDA, Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, Mountview, Guildhall, Royal Academy, Arts Educational, GSA, Royal Welsh, Rose Bruford and East 15, we have Alumni working successfully throughout the performing arts industry all over the world.

Performing arts training for students aged 3 -19 years, in acting, singing and dancing. Some students train during the week at our Barnet studios in stage and screen acting classes, or our younger performing arts STARter course. At the weekend students take part in combined performing arts courses, in Barnet or Enfield, offering an all round training. All our students get the opportunity to participate in performances.
We offer a brand new system of performing arts training; offering the very best in acting, singing & dancing tuition, incorporating mindfulness & wellbeing, and using theatre for transformative change in our students.
summer courses
Throughout the summer, we provide week-long courses for children and young people aged 4-17. Students have the opportunity to work towards performing on stage or creating a full-length film on our film production course. All our summer courses run for a week, some for just the morning, others all day.

Our main studios are situated in Islington with a brand new timetable of classes starting from January 2026, in our three story drama school We have seven purpose built studios with sprung floors and mirrored walls.
Our Barnet classes are held at our East Barnet studios, where we use purpose built dance and acting studios. On Saturday mornings we also hold performing arts classes at Chace Community School in Enfield.

full time college
For those aged 16-19, we run a fully funded, two year performing arts course with 25 hours a week training in acting, singing and dancing. Students cover physical theatre, classical and contemporary plays, musical theatre, urban, commercial, contemporary and modern dance. At the end of the course, students obtain an Extended Diploma in performing arts, equivalent to three A Levels, allowing progression to University or Drama School. We also run a foundation year course for 18-19 years, which works towards a Level 4 Diploma focusing on Contemporary and Shakespearean text to support drama school auditions.
