our fun, rewarding and challenging summer courses

FILM PRODUCTION COURSE 2025

Runs Saturday 26th July to Friday 1st August 2025

Devising Day Sunday 29th June 2025
10.00am-5.00pm Each Day

Suitable for Ages 11-17 Years.      Cost : £200

FILM THEME : HORROR

After an initial day of devising on Sunday 29th June, this course runs for seven days to allow time to create, rehearse and shoot a feature length film. Over the rest of the summer the film is edited and completed. The company then return in October to watch a full cinema screening of the film premiere at The Phoenix Cinema in Finchley, before receiving their link to download a digital copy of the film to keep.

Over the previous nine years, we have produced nine full length films: The  Family, Replay, Run, Tweakers, Agnes Shields: Case Cracker, A Zombie Film, Existence, SuperHeroes and last year's fantasy film, Ikluriam-The Second Realm. This year our theme is HORROR. Expect a school journey to remember - it's only a coming of age movie, if yOu make it to the end. This course suits any young person with an interest in acting for camera and media, and is a very valuable way to spend a week of the summer.

What To Expect

Right from the very start students, will feel welcome. Our initial classes are about getting to know the teachers and other participants, beginning the process of feeling settled and making friends. Each course will have a core team of teachers and assistants that will spend the whole week with the group.

The content will differ from course to course, but the first morning will generally be about creating and exploring the theme of the week, quickly moving on to rehearsing the content of the show, workshops with guest tutors, or writing for filming on our film production course.

Students should wear loose clothes they can move in and comfortable footwear. Bring enough packed lunch and snacks to see them through the day.

Throughout the week on all our summer courses, we follow the individual progress of students, ensuring that everyone has enough to do and the week is as rewarding as it can be for all of them.
